About Rubiah Tirta Divers

We have an excellent team of very experienced local and western guides, all qualified to PADI Divemaster level. We pride ourselves on excellent staff to customer ratios usually having one guide for each buddy team and a maximum limit of 2 buddy teams to one guide.

Back in 1970, Dodent, the founder of Rubiah Tirta Divers, was living and working on Rubiah Island with an English company trying to promote Pulau Weh and Aceh as a tourist location in order to protect the stunning marine environments in the area.

Since then, Dodent has been campaigning tirelessly and ceaselessly to protect these coral reef systems, helping to establish the Marine Park Status around Iboih and fighting destructive fishing practices such as dynamite, cyanide and shark fin fishing!

Dive Pulau Weh

Is a truly breathtaking example of a tropical island paradise. Unquestionably an island with outstanding natural beauty, it hosts a range of stunning sceneries both above and below the ocean.

Volcanic mountains are covered with dense jungle of primary rainforests, inhabited by many indigenous species. Monkeys are often found just sitting on the side of the road, and waking up to the gentle sounds of a variety of species of birds combined with the sound of a gentle lapping sea is the every day norm.
